Caramel Butter Brie

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
  • 12 ounces brie cheese, wheel
  • 1/2 cup pecans, toasted

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 melt butter, brown sugar and sugar in heavy saucepan over low heat and stir until sugars are dissolved.
  • 3 gradually whisk in heavy cream and continue whisking until smooth.
  • 4 add nutmeg.
  • 5 bring to a boil over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes.
  • 6 place wheel of brie on a pie plate and pour caramel over the top, letting it drip down the sides.
  • 7 bake for 10 minutes or until brie is soft.
  • 8 remove from oven and sprinkle with toasted pecans.
  • 9 let stand 5 minutes before serving.
