Cheddar Harvest Fondue

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash ground black pepper
  • 3/4 cup apple juice
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 cups italian bread, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 4 cups vegetables, cut into bite sized pieces

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium saucepan combine until smooth: milk, apple juice, flour, mustard, onion powder, salt and black pepper. cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens and bubbles. continue to cook one minute longer.
  • 2 remove from heat and add cheese. stir until the cheese is melted. transfer to a fondue pot and keep the mixture warm. serve with bread cubes and assorted vegetables. tooth picks make for good dipping.
