Blue Stilton Savouries

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 100 g flour
  • 100 g unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 100 g stilton cheese, crumbled
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 75 g walnuts, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 put the flour, butter and stilton in a food processor and mix briefly to form a smooth dough. you may also knead all the ingredients together by hand. wrap and chill for 1 hour or until firm.
  • 2 lightly grease some baking sheets.
  • 3 roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thick. cut into 2 inch squares, then cut the squares in half diagonally to make triangles.
  • 4 place on the baking sheets and chill for 10 minutes.
  • 5 preheat oven to 190c/375°f.
  • 6 brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
  • 7 bake 5-7 minutes, or until golden.
  • 8 transfer to wire rack to cool.
