Buffalo Chicken Dip

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 (10 ounce) cans canned chicken
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 3/4 cup buffalo hot sauce (like frank's)

Recipe

  • 1 soften cream cheese.
  • 2 drain chicken.
  • 3 combine all ingredients leaving out 1/2 cheddar cheese and blend together until slightly lumpy.
  • 4 pour into baking dish.
  • 5 sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  • 6 cook at 350°f for 30-35 minutes or until cheese is melted. remove from oven and serve with fritos, tortilla chips, or celery.

Buffalo Chicken Dip With Gorgonzola Cheese

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 8 ounces grated mozzarella cheese or 8 ounces cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 blend gorgonzola and cream cheese together and spread in bottom of shallow 9x13 or oval baking dish(sprayed with pam). poach chicken breasts and shred. add enough hot sauce to coat chicken in bowl but do not add too much as it will overpower the dip. spread chicken mixture over cream cheese/gorgonzola mixture adn top with grated cheese. bake 350 for 20-30minutes. serve with tortilla chips or celery!

  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped

Recipe

  • 1 heat all ingredients together in crock-pot or fondue pot on low heat until cheese melts.
  • 2 serve with corn chips.

Brie Apple And Walnut Phyllo Triangles

Ingredients

  • 8 sheets phyllo pastry
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 1 granny smith apple, unpeeled and finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 to make the filling, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • 2 add the shallots, apple, salt and pepper and cook until the shallots are softened, about 4 minutes.
  • 3 let cool.
  • 4 in a bowl, stir together the walnuts, brie and parsley.
  • 5 stir in the apple mixture.
  • 6 place one sheet of phyllo on the work surface, covering the rest with a damp towel to prevent drying out.
  • 7 cut lengthwise into five 2-1/2" wide strips.
  • 8 brush each strip with some of the butter.
  • 9 spoon 1 teaspoons of the filling about 1/2 inch from the end of each strip. fold one corner of the phyllo over the filling so the bottom edge meets the side edge to form a triangle.
  • 10 continue folding the triangle sideways and upward to the end of the strip.
  • 11 fold the end flap over to stick.
  • 12 repeat with the remaining phyllo.
  • 13 brush both sides of the triangles with butter.
  • 14 bake on a rimmed baking sheet in a 375 degree f oven for about 18 minutes or until golden.

Ingredients

  • 1 -2 tablespoon wheat germ or 1/3 cup toasted sliced almonds
  • 1 1/2 cups water or 1 1/2 cups soymilk
  • 3 tablespoons agar-agar flakes or 1 tablespoon agar, powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped raw cashews
  • 1/2 cup crumbled firm silken tofu
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sesame tahini
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground dill seeds or 1/8 teaspoon ground coriander

Recipe

  • 1 lightly oil a 2 1/2 cup round, shallow mold, pie plate, or single layer round cake pan and dust it with the wheat germ or sprinkle the bottom with the toasted sliced almonds, spreading them as evenly as possible. set aside.
  • 2 combine the water and agar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. reduce the heat and simmer, stirring often, until dissolved, about 5-10 minutes.
  • 3 move to a food processor or blender and add the remaining ingredients. process several minutes until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary.
  • 4 pour into the oiled container. cool uncovered in the refrigerator. when completely cool, cover and chill a few hours or overnight.
  • 5 to serve, turn out by inverting the mold onto a large round plate(the wheat germ or almond coated side will now be on top) and slice into wedges.
  • 6 store leftovers covered in the fridge. this will keep 5-7 days. enjoy!

  • 1 boil chicken in water or grill until cooked through. drain, if boiled, and set aside to allow to cool.
  • 2 spread cream cheese evenly over the bottom of a 9" x 9" x 2" baking dish. spread dressing evenly over cream cheese. set aside.
  • 3 shred chicken and mix with hot sauce. spread evenly over dressing in dish.
  • 4 sprinkle cheese evenly over top of chicken.
  • 5 cover with aluminum foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.

  • 1 bring the franks red hot to a boil.
  • 2 melt in cream cheese.
  • 3 add celery and blue cheese dressing.
  • 4 toss with chicken.
  • 5 add 4 oz of the cheddar and put into baking dish.
  • 6 bake @ 350 till hot and bubbly. sprinkle remaining cheddar on top for the last few minutes, to melt.
  • 7 serve with tortilla chips, celery or crackers. can also be rolled into a tortilla!

  • 1 (18 ounce) container caramel apple dip
  • 7 ounces mixed dried fruit

  • 1 cut off top rind of brie. center cheese on a plate. cover with caramel apple dip. sprinkle with dried fruit, then the cashews. surround with crackers and serve.

  • 1 lb spicy bulk sausage
  • 1/2 cup green onion (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder

  • 1 lb fresh large mushroom, cleaned
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped macadamia nuts
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon fines herbes
  • 4 ounces brie cheese

Recipe

  • 1 pull the stems out of the mushrooms and place mushroom caps on a broiling pan.
  • 2 finely chop the mushroom stems and toss with lemon juice.
  • 3 in a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • 4 add the chopped mushroom stems and saute until liquid evaporates.
  • 5 stir in the sour cream (and a little garlic, if desired) and saute until mixture appears almost dry; transfer mixture to a bowl.

Beer-batter Fried Pickle Chips

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (32 ounce) jar dill pickles, whole or 1 (24 ounce) jar dill pickles, sliced
  • canola oil (for frying)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
  • 1 cup beer (i usually use shiner bock)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 if not pre-cut, cut pickles in 1/2-1/4 inch slices. blot pickles with paper towels to remove excess moisture (i cut mine and immediately place them on folded-up paper towels, and then i blot them also).
  • 2 whisk 3/4 cup flour with the beer. place remaining flour, salt, and pepper in a gallon-size ziploc bag; shake to combine.
  • 3 pour canola oil in a deep skillet or dutch oven, and set it over medium heat; the oil should be approximately 3/4 inch deep.
  • 4 when your oil is hot (test it by sprinkling a little water in the oil, when it pops, you know it's ready), start preparing the pickle chips.
  • 5 put all the pickle slices in the ziploc bag with the flour to completely coat the pickles with flour. take them out, and dip them in beer batter.
  • 6 immediately place batter-covered pickles in the oil (about 10-15 at a time, making sure not to crowd them), careful that it may pop back, for about 2 minutes on each side or until brown.
  • 7 when they're golden, remove and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
  • 8 eat plain, serve with ranch dressing, or serve with any dipping sauce of your choice.

Brie Or Camembert Appetizers

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • generous wedge brie cheese (sometimes, i buy those very small rounds of brie or camembert and serve one or half per person) or camembert cheese, for each person you're planning to serve (sometimes, i buy those very small rounds of brie or camembert and serve one or half per person)
  • milk
  • flour
  • 1 egg (or 2 or 3 - again depending on how many people you're serving this to)
  • plain breadcrumbs
  • butter
  • lettuce leaf, chiffonade (lettuce cut in thin, strips to make an attractive plating)
  • fruit chutney or preserves
  • crusty bread

Recipe

  • 1 dip the wedge of brie or camembert in milk and dredge in flour.
  • 2 then dip in egg and breadcrumbs.
  • 3 let cheese'sit' for 10-15 minutes to allow coating to set.
  • 4 melt butter in a large skillet.
  • 5 when hot, add as many brie/camembert slices as will fit without crowding.
  • 6 fry until golden-brown, turn over carefully and fry on other side.
  • 7 put a handful of the lettuce chiffonade on each serving plate.
  • 8 centre a golden brie/camembert slice on the plate.
  • 9 top with a spoonful of fruit chutney or preserves (or serve the chutney on the side); cranberry sauce is wonderful with this!

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup margarine or 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder (can add more if you like)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (sometimes we use pepper jack cheese)
  • 1 (4 ounce) can green chilies
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onions (i sometimes us more as we like onions)

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350.
  • 2 mix egg, flour, margarine, cornmeal, salt and chili powder.
  • 3 press in ungreased 9x13 pan.
  • 4 bake until firm (about 25 minutes).
  • 5 mix remaining ingredients.
  • 6 spread over baked layer.
  • 7 bake until cheese melted about 15 minutes.
  • 8 cool and cut into bars about 3x1 inch.

  • 4 large vidalia onions
  • 1/4 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese

  • 1 peel onions, leaving root ends intact. cut each onion into eighths, cutting to, but not through, root ends.
  • 2 place each onion on a lightly greased 12-inch square of aluminum foil. press butter evenly into onions; sprinkle with salt, pepper, and cheese. wrap onions in foil, and arrange in a 13-x9-inch pan.
  • 3 bake at 400 degrees fahrenheit for 1 hour.

Cannellini, Black Olive, Sun-dried Tomato & Basil Paté

  • 1 small garlic clove, crushed
  • 420 g cannellini beans, drained
  • 1/2 lemon, juice of
  • 3 -4 sun-dried tomatoes
  • 8 black olives, stoned
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 -4 basil leaves, torn

Recipe

  • 1 put the garlic, cannellini beans, lemon juice, sun-dried tomatoes and black olives into a food processor and whiz to a thick chunky puree.
  • 2 season with salt and pepper.
  • 3 tear the basil leaves over the top.

Citrus-soy Chicken Wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup sake
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • corn oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

  • 1 cut each chicken wing at joints to make 3 pieces. discard tip or reserve for making chicken broth. here's where i cheat and use those frozen party wings from costco. feel free to do the same thing.
  • 2 combine the salt, pepper, ginger, egg , and cornstarch in a large mixing bowl. add chicken wings and marinate for 20 minutes, covered in refrigerator.
  • 3 heat sake, orange juice, lemon juice soy sauce, sugar, and chili until sauce is reduced to 1 1/4 cup. turn off heat and set aside.
  • 4 heat corn oil (2 inches) in wok or deep edged frying pan to 350°f place drumette pieces in oil and deep fry for one minute turning a couple of times. add remaining wing pieces and cook for additional 4 minutes, turning 3-4 times or until golden brown. remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  • 5 heat a wok or frying pan on medium heat until hot. add 1 tbsp corn oil, and the garlic and sauce mixture. stir and cook until sauce begins to bubble. add chicken wings and stir and cook with sauce mixture until wings are well coated.

Blue Ribbon Beef Nachos

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar salsa
  • 1 (6 ounce) can pitted ripe olives, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • tortilla chips
  • sliced ripe olives (optional) or chopped green onions (optional) or tomato (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 in a skillet, cook the beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. stir in the next seven ingredients; heat through.
  • 2 serve over tortilla chips. top with olives, onions and tomatoes if desired.

Brie Cheese With Roasted Garlic-paprika Filling (tapas)

  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 tablespoon spanish virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons smoked spanish paprika
  • 2 tablespoons dry spanish sherry wine
  • 16 ounces brie cheese (1 wheel)
  • 2 rustic french baguettes

Recipe

  • 1 remove brie from refrigerator and packaging and allow to warm to room temperature.
  • 2 roast one head garlic whole at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 30 minutes. use only half the garlic for the recipe.
  • 3 squeeze garlic from the skins into a small mixing bowl. place paprika in bowl and measure in the sherry. smash the garlic with a fork, mixing together until a paste is formed. add olive oil and mix.
  • 4 once the brie is at room temperature, cut in half horizontally as if you were making a two-layer cake. place on a sheet of aluminum foil. remove top and spread roasted garlic-paprika mixture on lower half, like frosting. replace the top of cheese and wrap the entire brie wheel in aluminum foil and place in hot oven for 15 minutes.
  • 5 remove from oven when brie is soft and allow to cool a few minutes. cut baguette into thin slices. cut small slices of brie and place on top of sliced bread to serve.

Almond Sunflower Cranberry Crisps

Brie Fondue

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 ounces fresh shiitake mushrooms (stemmed with caps diced)
  • 1 shallot (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 12 ounces chilled chilled 60% brie cheese (double creme, recommended not to use triple creme)
  • 2 ounces roquefort cheese (chilled)
  • 1 cup dry wine

Recipe

  • 1 first, heat the oil in a medium-size heavy skillet over medium-high heat. then, add the mushrooms, shallot, and thyme and sauté until the mushrooms begin to soften (about 2 minutes).
  • 2 next, place the flour in a large bowl. cut the rind from your brie and discard it. cut the brie into cubes and drop into the flour. toss the cubes to coat, separating the cheese cubes.
  • 3 crumble the roquefort into the same bowl and also toss to coat.
  • 4 pour the wine into a medium-size heavy saucepan and bring to a slow simmer over medium heat. at this point, add the cheese by handfuls, slowly, and stirring all the while until each addition of cheese is melted. keep stirring until the brie fondue mixture is smooth.
  • 5 next stir in the mushroom mixture into the fondue. season with generous amount of pepper and transfer it all to a fondue pot.
  • 6 set the fondue pot over a candle or a canned heat burner. or if you have an electric fondue pot, make sure you are familiar with the settings before using it. serve with bread and vegetables (see below).

  • 0.5 (17 1/3 ounce) package pepperidge farm puff pastry sheets (1 sheet)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/3 cup dried cherries, softened in
  • 1/2 cup hot water (1 min)
  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted pecans
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary leaf
  • 1 (13 1/4 ounce) round brie cheese

Recipe

  • 1 thaw pastry sheet at room temperature (40 min or so, until its easy to handle).
  • 2 heat oven to 400°f.
  • 3 beat egg and water in a small bowl.
  • 4 unfold pastry sheet on lightly floured surface.
  • 5 roll sheet into a 14 in square.
  • 6 stir cherries, pecans, honey and rosemary in a bowl.
  • 7 spread cherry mixture onto center of square.
  • 8 top with cheese round.
  • 9 fold pastry sheet over cheese round and press to seal.

Brie Pastry With Berries And Rosemary

  • 1/2 cup raspberry preserves
  • 1/4 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 8 ounces brie cheese
  • 6 ounces camembert cheese
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 large egg, beaten for glazing
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, minced
  • 1 7/8 teaspoons pepper

Recipe

  • 1 combine preserves, raspberries, blueberries, pepper and rosemary. roll out the puff pastry to form a 10-12 inch square. cut the rind off the top of both cheeses and place them in the center of the pastry square. spoon the berries over top of cheeses. form a pastry packet by bringing up opposite sides of the pastry up over the cheeses and pinching the ends together. paint the insides of the other two sides with the egg wash and bring them up and enclose cheese and berries. paint the outside of the pastry with the egg glaze.
  • 2 preheat oven to 400°f place pastry on a lightly greased cookie sheet. bake about 30 minutes until pastry is golden. do not worry if the top opens up a bit. allow to cool 30 minutes before serving.

Brie Stuffed Artichoke

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 artichoke
  • 2 ounces brie cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped shallot
  • 4 ounces wine
  • 8 ounces butter (1/4 slices)
  • 2 ounces whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon wine vinegar
  • 1 lemon, juice of
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 cut off the top and bottom of the artichoke. cook it in boiling water for 10-15 minutes until the bottom is easy to pierce with a fork. run artichoke under cold water to stop the cooking process. when cool enough to handle, cut the inner choke away from the heart. cut the brie into 1/2â€? chunks. place the brie into the artichoke and throughout the leaves. place on a cookie sheet and bake at 350° until the brie is melted (approximately 10 minutes).
  • 2 to make the mustard sauce, combine shallots and wine in a saucepan over high heat. slowly add the butter and remove from heat. then add mustard, wine vinegar, salt, pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice to the mixture. drizzle mixture over artichoke and serve.

Chili Cheese Log

Ingredients

  • 1 lb velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 8 ounces monterey jack pepper cheese, cubed
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 let the four cheeses come to room temperature, either with a handmixer or food processer{i recommend food processer) blend all four cheeses till smooth. transfer to a mixing bowl and blend in remaining ingredients.
  • 2 take a piece of wax papper approximately 12 inches long - sprinkle additional chili powder down the center of wax paper horizontally, spoon cheese mixture on top of chili powder in shape of log.
  • 3 wrap wax papper around cheese mixture and roll back and forth to form log, then twist ends of paper to seal and refrigerate at least one hour till log is firm.
  • 4 serve ith a variety of crackers - enjoy.

Chili Cheese Dog Fondue

  • 1 (11 ounce) can pillsbury refrigerated breadsticks
  • 24 cocktail-sized smoked link sausage (16 oz. pkg.)

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 375 degrees. unroll dough; separate into strips. cut dough strips in half crosswise. wrap 1 breadstick half around center of each sausage; pinch ends of dough strip to seal. place seam side down and about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. bake immediately; or cover and refrigerate up to 4 hours.
  • 2 bake at 375 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
