Baked Ricotta

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 egg whites, whisked
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • sea salt
  • black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.
  • 2 mix cheese and egg whites.
  • 3 fold through herbs and seasonings.
  • 4 grease deep dish or ramekins.
  • 5 spoon in mixture.
  • 6 drizzle with olive oil and bake 30 minutes.
  • 7 cool slightly. cake does "collapse" when remove from the oven.
  • 8 turn out onto a plate to catch olive oil juices.
  • 9 serve warm or at room temperature.
