Breaded Tomatoes (tapas/appetizers)

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g breadcrumbs
  • 100 g flour
  • 1 tablespoon basil, chopped (or ground)
  • oil, for frying
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 wash and slice the tomatoes in thick slices. season them.
  • 2 mix the basil with the breadcrumbs.
  • 3 beat the eggs in a bowl.
  • 4 dry the tomatoes with paper towels. pass the tomatoes through the flour, the egg and the breadcrumbs (in this order).
  • 5 fry in enough oil (or use a deep fryer) until golden.
  • 6 set on a paper towel to remove excess oil and serve hot.
