4 Cheese Mexican Tortilla Appetizers

Total Time: 18 mins Preparation Time: 6 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 6 6 inch fajita-size flour tortillas
  • 1 (16 ounce) can ortega refried beans
  • 1/2 cup ortega thick & smooth taco sauce, medium
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onion (about 3)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups four-cheese mexican blend cheese (8 ounces)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400º f.
  • 2 place tortillas on baking sheet (s).
  • 3 bake for 3 to 4 minutes or until crisp.
  • 4 spread refried beans evenly on tortillas.
  • 5 spread 1 tablespoon taco sauce over beans.
  • 6 top with bell peppers, green onions and crushed red pepper.
  • 7 sprinkle with cheese.
  • 8 bake for 7 to 8 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  • 9 cut into wedges.
  • 10 a pizza cutter works great for this.
