Cocktail Meatballs

Total Time: 29 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 14 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 50
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons soy powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar substitute
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce

Recipe

  • 1 mix thoroughly beef, egg, soy powder and salt; shape into 50 small 1/2 inch.
  • 2 meatballs. arrange in shallow baking pan (12 x 8 x 2 inches). broil 4 inches.
  • 3 from heat until browned; turn once. pour off fat.
  • 4 meanwhile, in sauce-pan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until tender. add meatballs and remaining ingredients. cover; cook over low heat 10 minutes. stir occasionally.
