Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons soy powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/3 cup finely chopped green pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar substitute
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce
Recipe
- 1 mix thoroughly beef, egg, soy powder and salt; shape into 50 small 1/2 inch.
- 2 meatballs. arrange in shallow baking pan (12 x 8 x 2 inches). broil 4 inches.
- 3 from heat until browned; turn once. pour off fat.
- 4 meanwhile, in sauce-pan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until tender. add meatballs and remaining ingredients. cover; cook over low heat 10 minutes. stir occasionally.
