Cheesy Ham And Apricot Toasts

Ingredients

  • 24 baguette, slices (1/4 inch slices)
  • 2 tablespoons stone ground dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, dressing
  • 1/8 teaspoon chipotle-flavored hot pepper sauce (optional)
  • 5 ounces sliced black forest ham, torn into bite-size pieces
  • 1/2 cup dried apricot, sliced
  • 1 cup canadian cheddar cheese, shredded (two year old)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat broiler. arrange baguette slices on a rimed baking sheet. broil until lightly golden on both sides, about 1 minute per side. cool to room temperature.
  • 2 blend mustard and mayonnaise; add chipotle sauce if using. spread a thin layer on one side of each baguette toast. divde ham and apricots equally between toasts. toss cheese with green onions and sprinkle evenly over all. broil 2-3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
