Bacon Wrapped Dates With Cheese

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 10 ounces pitted dates
  • 1/8 lb parmigiano-reggiano cheese

Recipe

  • 1 cut bacon in half crosswise.
  • 2 cook bacon in a skillet to get most of fat out (do not let brown), then drain on paper towel.
  • 3 cut cheese in small rectangles to slide into dates.
  • 4 slide cheese into open end of pitted dates.
  • 5 wrap cheese filled date in 1/2 piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  • 6 cook at 400 for 15 minutes until bacon is crisp.
