Cherry Preserves

Total Time: 24 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 24 hrs Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 quart sour cherry
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup

Recipe

  • 1 pit cherries.
  • 2 place cherries in saucepan with sugar and mix well; add corn syrup and bring to a boil.
  • 3 cook 15 minutes, shaking pan occasionally.
  • 4 pour mixture into a shallow pan and allow to stand for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • 5 pour mixture into sterilized jars to within 1/2 inch of rim.
  • 6 place caps on, and screw on lids firmly.
  • 7 process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
