Chinese Plum Sauce

Ingredients
- 18 ounces plum jam
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes (i sometimes used dried)
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2-1 teaspoon fresh gingerroot
- soy sauce (a couple of splashed could be optional)
Recipe
- 1 in a saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients.
- 2 bring to a boil, stirring.
- 3 let simmer a couple minutes. then remove from heat. great warm or at room temperature.
