Cheesy Roasted Red Pepper Bread

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb french bread, loaf
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup miracle whip
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped roasted red pepper, well drained (from 7 oz jar)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro, if desired
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (1/4 cup)

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 400°.
  • 2 cut bread loaf horizontally into 3 layers.
  • 3 mix remaining ingredients.
  • 4 spread half of the cheese mixture over bottom layer.
  • 5 top with second layer; spread with remaining cheese mixture.
  • 6 top with third layer; press firmly.
  • 7 wrap loaf securely in heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  • 8 bake 15 to 20 minutes or until hot.
  • 9 serve warm.
  • 10 substitution: you can substitute finely chopped fresh red bell pepper for the roasted red bell pepprs in this recipe.
  • 11 variation: you can heat this bread on the grill over medium heat for 15 to 20 min.
