Briana's Fried Artichokes

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can artichoke hearts, quartered or whole (not marinated!!)
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Recipe

  • 1 combine eggs and milk in a bowl and mix.
  • 2 combine breadcrumbs and seasonings in a plate or ziploc bag, however you prefer.
  • 3 drain artichoke hearts. dip in egg/milk wash.
  • 4 coat in breadcrumbs mix.
  • 5 repeat egg/milk wash & then breadcrumbs.
  • 6 fry in hot oil either in skillet or deep fryer for 3-5 minutes. remember they continue to brown after you take them out of the oil. these are better slightly overdone (darker brown)!
