Classic Chocolate Fondue

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 2/3 cups finely chopped semisweet chocolate
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons liqueur (dark rum, amaretto, frangelico, grand marnier or dark rum)
  • 2 chopped pears
  • 2 cups bananas
  • 2 pints strawberries
  • 400 g angel food cake

Recipe

  • 1 prep fruit and cake.
  • 2 in a sauce pan, slowly heat whipping cream until bubbles form around the edges.
  • 3 remove pan from heat; whisk in chopped chocolate until mixture is smooth.
  • 4 stir in vanilla and, if desired, add liqueur.
  • 5 transfer mixture to a fondue pot and keep warm over low heat.
