Classic Chocolate Fondue

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2 2/3 cups finely chopped semisweet chocolate
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons liqueur (dark rum, amaretto, frangelico, grand marnier or dark rum)
- 2 chopped pears
- 2 cups bananas
- 2 pints strawberries
- 400 g angel food cake
Recipe
- 1 prep fruit and cake.
- 2 in a sauce pan, slowly heat whipping cream until bubbles form around the edges.
- 3 remove pan from heat; whisk in chopped chocolate until mixture is smooth.
- 4 stir in vanilla and, if desired, add liqueur.
- 5 transfer mixture to a fondue pot and keep warm over low heat.
