Bacon Roll-ups

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 32
  • 16 slices bacon, cut in half
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 1 (10 ounce) package pita bread rounds

Recipe

  • 1 preheat your oven's broiler (i put mine on low broil and my oven rack was in the middle of my gas stove).
  • 2 open pita rounds, and spread generously with cream cheese. i spread to the thickness we liked - you might use more or less of the amount listed.
  • 3 replace tops, and use a pizza cutter to slice into 1 inch wide strips.
  • 4 cut the long strips in half crosswise.
  • 5 roll up each piece, and wrap with half of a strip of bacon.
  • 6 secure with toothpicks and place close together on a baking sheet.
  • 7 broil for 10 minutes in oven or until the bacon is cooked through.
  • 8 use spatula to remove them to a napkin lined bowl or platter.
  • 9 remove toothpicks before serving.
