Christmas Snowman Bread For Dip

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 35 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 2 (1 lb) frozen bread dough, thawed
  • black icing or frosting
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • ranch dip or spinach dip
  • assorted fresh vegetable
  • cracker

Recipe

  • 1 combine both loaves of thawed bread.
  • 2 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 3 grease a cookie sheet.
  • 4 to make body, you will make 4 round balls from the dough. make each ball a little bigger. (just like a snowman.)
  • 5 you will take the smallest ball and form a hat. the hat will be a ball and a small round cylindar for the brim. place on greased baking sheet. (see picture).
  • 6 for body, flatten balls and place on the greased baking sheet.
  • 7 brush dough with egg.
  • 8 cover and let rise for about 30-35 minutes or til doubled.
  • 9 bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes til golden brown.
  • 10 remove to a wire rack to cool.
  • 11 cut an oval in in the lower ball of the snowman.
  • 12 hollow out bread leaving a shell.
  • 13 cut bread into cubes for dipping.
  • 14 let cool completely.
  • 15 use icing to draw eyes, nose, mouth and buttons on body. the bread has to be cooled completely or the icing will melt.
  • 16 fill hole in belly with with dip.
  • 17 surround entire bunny with bread cubes, fresh veggies and crackers for dipping.
