Christy's Meatballs Or Meatloaf

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (use very lean beef)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 teaspoons mustard
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 mix all the meatball ingredients in a large bowl and shape into 1-inch balls. fry until brown in the oil and butter. drain off the grease and place meatballs on paper towels.
- 3 place meatballs in a 2-qt. baking dish.
- 4 in a small bowl, combine sauce ingredients. pour over meatballs.
- 5 bake for 20 minutes.
- 6 for a meatloaf, mix the meat and form into a loaf in a baking dish. bake for 45 minutes. remove from the oven and top with the sauce. return to the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the sauce looks bubbly.
